Explanation of Classes

Ashtanga-Inspired is a creative and playful presentation of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Holding true to a lineage based, time-tested practice, we recognize that Yoga is an emperical and evolving science that meets each practitioner exactly where they are in the moment. These classes will support you in a moving, breathing meditation as we weave in and out of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system of postures. A Yoga rope wall, chairs and other Yoga props will be creatively presented in class as learning tools to integrate the practices into our mind-bodies and lives.

Level 2 Deep Dive is a two hour practice designed to allow more time deepening into the Yoga tradition. This class gives us the opportunity to explore The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Sadhana practices, break down postures, and simply enjoy the power of coming together in Sangha with intention to expand through Yoga. This class is designed for students with some experience, and we teach to the room. We welcome and encourage all bodies and abilities.

About Sarah

Sarah Klein finds her Yoga home in the Ashtanga Lineage. She is moved by the devotion this practice requires and its innate ability to create a moving, breathing, meditation through its direct and clear nature. Sarah has over a decade and a half of Yoga teaching experience. She is the founder & director of the Ashtanga-Inspired Yoga Alliance certified Yoga School.

Teaching to learn, Sarah takes pride in annually continuing her formal studies with her primary teachers Bhavani Maki, Annie Pace and Larry Schultz (deceased) since 2008.

Sarah effortlessly weaves Sutra through her asana classes and continuously invites students to look deeper into themselves through the wisdom of the practice. Sarah is an Ashtangi at heart, guiding students with the precision that is rooted in tradition, but not averse to pulling out the yoga chair and taking creative liberty to meet students where they are. Sarah’s love and devotion for Yoga shine through her charismatic and effervescent personality.
